Which BP Alterations/Dressmaker do you like, because she does a nice neat job and is easy to work with (she understands what you want done)?
Please mention if she's either:
Relatively Expensive,
Relatively Average Priced, or
Relatively Reasonable.
TIA
Ill start with
Miriam 5016 12th Ave (718) 853-2744
Relatively Expensive, does a nice job, but became too expensive

Galina 52nd between 15/16. She's the a literal guru in her line. I only trust her with my good stuff.

Anyone else want to add?
Especially reasonable dressmakers/alterations people.

used Galina for a wedding gown since I knew she was top of the line and she botched up. Cut wrong, she couldn't get over it, "I never make mistakes", but anyone can.

She admitted she made a mistake? That’s unusual for any dressmaker.

How about Galina on 15/42? Is she good for very good dressy stuff?

Not sure what the name is the Chinese place on 13 41. They are cheap and did a great job on simple and moderate jobs.
Henry's 13 56 also cheap gave them simple stuff.
Lora 11 57 (place that had a fire) gave her big job and I found her relatively cheap. I priced it elsewhere.
Tamila 14 53 good but expensive
Lena 17 52 expensive gave her major work. Great job.

I thought I heard once that Galina on 15th avenue and 41st street is very good.
Am I confusing her with the Flatbush Galina?

For cutting hems and sleeves, taking down hems, sewing buttons, widening or tightening necks I use Henry's on 43/13. I bring the item already marked with a pin, since the lines are long there and small trying on place.
For taking in something tailored for shape, hemming a Chiffon gown, I use Miriam on 51/12.

I used this Galina for something really simple and she did not do a good job. I heard people go to her because she has good style advice like if you need to lengthen a skirt or build up a dress.
