So with Chanukah coming and my minhag not to work for an hr after menorah lighting ( and my full time job!) I was thinking to invest and get a milchig crock pot So dinners can be put up in the morning.
Any ideas? Recipes and links would be appreciated.

Most milchig recipes are 3-4 hours max.

You can set the timer to go on while you're out of the house, 3-4 hours before dinner time.

Isn't the minhag 1/2 hour? And applies only to men? I might be mistaken but I think I'm not...

Maybe, but it ain't something I am going to argue about! I get to sit in the couch while my dh does everything! I thinks it's for women specifically, something about the neis being brought about through a women (Yehudis).
