I will add DD's favorite quote:

Broken crayons still color.

This one touched me and made me cry. I wish dh would understand that I might be damaged because of mental illness but there is still so much good in me. Broken-spirited people still have something we can offer.

On that note-

"Stop hating yourself for everything you aren't and start loving yourself for what you already are."

Some more.(sorry can't help it;))
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Happiness often sneaks in a door you did not think was open.

Do not judge my story by the chapter you walked in on.

I actually like this one. I think there's a lot to be said for putting on a smile for the world when things are tough. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're in denial, just that you're not looking to advertise your pain in public. When you meet enough people who are the opposite.... then you'll appreciate what I mean.

No rain, no flowers.

There's a voice that doesn't use words. Listen.

You say I dream too big. I say you think too small.

Don't let your struggle become your identity.

The quieter you become the more you can hear.

Yeah, I just know so many people who live their lives in denial, always putting a smile on their face and pretending that utterly unacceptable things are OK, that it just doesn't seem inspirational.

I guess it depends on why you do it. When you do it to put a pretty bow on reality and shove something unacceptable under the rug, that's not inspirational. When you do it to encourage others to find the strength to persevere, that's different.

Maybe it's just my automatic reaction - but when I read that quote, I think "denial."

It is probably your automatic reaction.
I also thought about it that way for a second,
But it doesn't always mean denial,
Being a mother of small kids I always have to pretend to be happy, when I never am.

I cant believe I only just noticed this thread.
I absolutely love inspirational quotes. So here are a few. Hope they aren't repeats.

If Hashem sends stoney paths, He provides strong shoes.
Life is fragile, handle with prayer.
Hashem answers in 3 ways: He says yes and gives you what you want,
He says no and gives you something better.
He says wait and gives you the best.

And the last one for now is.
Dear G-d,
I've tried my best but if today I lose my hope, please tell me that Your planz are better than my dreams

Oh and here is another one.
The road to success is not straight.
There is a curb called failure, a loop called confusion, speed bumps called friends, red lights called enemies, caution lights called family. You will have flats called jobs. But ifI you have a spare called determination, an engine called perseverance, insurance called faith, and a driver called G-d you will make it to a place of success.

When I hear somebody sigh, 'Life is hard,' I am always tempted to ask, 'Compared to what?

It's called a garbage can, not a garbage can't.

Don't cling to a mistake just because you spent a lot of time making it.

And my absolute favorite:
Dear life: When I asked if my day could get worse, it was a rhetorical question, not a challenge.

Thumbs Up

I love this. Struggles are part of life and no matter how huge, it shouldn't take over who you are and everything you talk about.

Love this one!!

And some more..Wink

Impossible is just an opinion.

When someone says "you've changed" it simply means you've stopped living life their way.

Imperfection is perfection to a beautiful perspective.

Don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle.

Imperfection is a form of freedom.
