That's me.

Right now, it's popcorn. I need some every day.

Then one day, I'll be like "no more popcorn" and I won't eat it again for like half a year. Before popcorn, it was tangerines. Every day, I had 3. Then one day, it was like "no more tangerines, just not in the mood."

Anyone else do this? My neighbor says she's never heard of this kind of eating habit.

I have a kid like this. They want the same thing for school lunch each day, and then a couple of weeks later, I can never send it again. Sigh. I also had a friend in high school that did this with breakfast cereals.

My seven year old is like this with his snacks. He will be into something for a few weeks and then gets bored. I can be like it also with breakfast food. I had an over night oats phase, a polenta phase an avocado toast phase.

Yup, me too. I'm like that with whole wheat crackers (only kemach, garlic & dill flavor) with guacamole.

It's super common in kids. DD was exactly like this, she was either obsessed with a food, or completely repulsed by it - no inbetween.

I still have phases, but not so extreme. The last time it was baked sweet potatoes. Right now, it's roasted eggplant. It also depends on what fruit is in season, then I'll go nuts on it while it's still fresh off the tree/vine.

I have to vary food so this doesn’t happen to me. I get sick of food really easily, which is weird because I’m really a non picky eater, I just need variety. I always think I’m never going to eat chicken again after pesach

Yes. I recently had a thing for cheese and sauce ( pizza, ziti, ravioli etc)
Rice krispies for a few days
Sushi
Toast and peanut butter
I usually have this for three days then have no interest in looking at those foods for at least a month or more.

I'm like that Smile
I can have salmon for weeks and weeks and then not want to look at salmon. Next I'll have meat for weeks. I can have the same breakfast for a few months and then need a switch. I don't think there is anything wrong though...
