Going on hol I assume means vacation? I would cut out the holiday if I couldn't afford pesach. Just saying....
Hugs though...

No don’t use credit cards if you don’t have the money. Credit card debt is just not worth it

When we just had one baby we got invited out for most of the meals. Now with three kids I feel the pinch.

Buy specials. When you see a store has something on sale buy a few of it. Think and plan ahead.....

Many people make everything from scratch for kasrus as well as budget. Raw ingredients don't need a hechsher.

Eat simply - lots of fruit and veg. Just buy matsa, chicken, and wine/grape juice.
You do not NEED processed foods or expensive chocolate.

Get invited out a couple of meals.

Buy meat way before pesach and freeze. Only eat meat on yom tov and shabbos. Go vegetarian on weekdays. Theres a website called kosheronabudget check it out. Eat simple. מרבה נכסים מרבה דאגה. Dont buy things u will only use a little of like 20 spices

Pesach shopping:
Potatoes carrots and beets are cheap. Buy in bulk and refrigerate. Get diff kinds of recipes now and collect from similar ingredients like beet chips etc
Eggs in bulk from costco
Use only salt and pepper as spices
Skip all aisles in store just buy fruits and veggies and proteins
If u r on wic it helps with dairy. Learn to make homemade cheese and yogurt so easy
Cheap wine is the big bottles
ask commujity for help with matzo
Make a list and stick to it before u go shopping. Dont look or you will want
Dont use disposables waste of $. Ask hubby help with dishes.
I dont do dessert on pesach. Matzo is dessert Smile

Dont have guests. Eat at family and friends as possible.

Speak to your local kashrut agency. They will be able to tell you what products are kosher for pesach without special supervision. (If you have access to OU products, the OU puts out a list.) That's what you should buy - that kosher le-pesach label adds a good 25 percent to the cost of food.

Other posters are right that it is cheaper (and healthier) to use as much unprocessed food as possible.

For the long term, you will have to think about increasing your income and/or moving someplace less expensive.

AFAIK all meat, chicken and wine is kosher l'pesach all year round. Buy a case now, put it in your freezer. Sugar can be bought when you see it on sale.
Make fruit desserts.
Eggs and milk need to be bought before pesach, but don't need an additional hechsher to normal.

Do you have pesach dishes and ccookware? If not, minimal purchases and kashering would save.
