My husband's old suit has finally met its end after a long, usefully and happy life. Poor husband usually gets neglected in the clothing department; the kids grow out of stuff and need new clothing at regular intervals, and if we ever have clothing money to spare my lovely guy insists that I buy things for myself. The result is that hubby rarely gets new clothing, so I'm really excited to get husband a new suit.
Lakewood ladies: Where can we buy a not too expensive suit? We need a place that will match ties to go with because neither of us is very smart when it comes to fashion.

Can't help you with suit purchasing but I am sure glad to see a positive and upbeat thread about DH's on here, they have been getting a really bad rap around here lately!

Macy's. They're cheaper than the frum stores and you can usually get nice suits for good prices (their Bar III line is nice and generally affordable).

Joseph H Bank—they have good sales and good salespeople. They will pick out ties, socks , shirts—whatever you need.

I didn't even think about going to a department store, so thanks for this idea. We're going to start at the mall. It also has a lordandtaylor, which might have suits.

His Place is a really good store, I think it's less expensive, but has decent quality. We have lots of guys, so we basically live in that store!

I recently forced my husband to buy a new suit lol. Some men will wear out their clothes and insist that it looks like new.
What we found was that the suits at a decently price point in the Jewish stores were junk. The good quality suits there were very expensive.
We were successful in the mall - mainly Macy's - with Kenneth Cole etc.
