I get home from work on Fridays around 2:30....is that too late to put chulent up? What time do you suggest?

It's not too late, I put it up in the morning & we eat it Friday lunch.

I put it up Thursday night because my kids like to eat cholent before shabbos. I used to put it up Friday morning.

I put it up about 6:30 Friday morning. If I harken to be off on a Friday I'll do it a little later.

I like to plug it in right before shabbos. I don't like when food overcooks.
