Where do you keep towels that have been used for showers and are clean enough to use again? My husband insists that they won't dry properly if I hang them on the bathroom hooks and they'll smell. The towel rack in the bathroom isn't big enough for everyone's towels. I'm tired of him spreading them all over the banister.

We have a double towel rack on the back of our bathroom door. Dh uses both of those. I keep mine on a hook in my (walk in) closet. His towel gets much wetter than mine because he had more body hair that traps more water, so his don't dry on a hook, but mine do.

Are the multiple racks on top of each other? Or next to each other? Thanks for the idea!

Would you put them in the dryer?
I hang them by the banister until it dries

How many hooks are on the bathroom door and how many towels need to dry?

Hate to break it to you, but we hang them on hooks on the back of the bathroom door.

I grew up hanging them on hooks and no smell but if I put them on hooks dh moves them. We're seven but my boys hang them over their bunk bed so five towels or so. I'll look into these ideas, thanks!

Our bathroom is too damp so we have hooks on bedroom doors.

We have a row of over the door hooks and keep up to 2 towels there (each spread over 3 hooks so there's room to breathe).

Are we talking about towels again?
And, are these the secret Mitzvah towels that Ima mothers know about?
I feel like there's a secret code I'm just not privy to.

We should totally start a spinoff, but I just want to point out that you should never leave your monogrammed towels next to your netilas yadayim sink. It is like hanging your sheets out the morning after the wedding. We don't do that anymore nowadays. Not in my community.
(We hang the wet towels from the kids showers on the bunk bed posts. I clear them off when we have guests.)

My baby's towel gets hung on his closet doorknob.
dd has hooded towels, so I hang it on door of her bedroom, by the hood. She doesn't like her bedroom door closed, ever, so that's not an issue.
I never reuse my towels. The thought of day old, dead skin cells after my shower sort of disgusts me. (I do have dry, at times eczema-tic skin)
Dh can use the hook or the towel rack in the bathroom, but he usually leaves it on the bedroom floor/ on his bed since he never prepares his clothes for after shower, and walks out of bathroom with the towel wrapped around his waist. Then it just gets tossed in the hamper the next day.

I have loops sewn onto the towels so we put the loop on the hook and it helps the towel dry and not stay wet & get musty

I wrap a towel around a hanger and hang it on the door hook or towel bar. The towel is spread out for more even drying.

Toss them in the wash, dry em, fold em and put it in the towel closet.
