it's not for me. For someone that I know. I know there are good shaitel machers in Lakewood that do it for free if it's for tznius. Does anyone know?

OP is probably talking about someone who's willing to cut an inch or two at a time. Maybe something more dramatic but I would personally advise someone doing it in small doses till she reaches her comfort level.
If we're talking a very long sheitel and maybe just an inch or so, this is something that shouldn't be too problematic to trust a willing sheitel macher with.

She just wants to cut an inch but still wants it to be someone experienced obviously. I have seen in advertised but don't know where now so was wondering if anyone knows of it...

interested in cutting my sheital a few inches for tznius reasons.
I live near Brooklyn, willing to travel to Lakewood to get it cut if needed.
Anyone have personal experience with a sheitalmacher that does this for free or for a nominal fee?

I know exactly what you are talking about. It's called inch by inch and they advertise quite often.
I think they advertised this past wk in the bp weekly.
They have a list of sheitel machers who do it.

I didn't know there was an organization that did that. How can I get that list?

It’s not a full cut. They shorten sheitels.
There is a list. Most are well known and excellent.
Maybe reana Beene is on there? Esther ballhanes?

I think it's usually for a shaitel that's not new but they want it shortened or trimmed.
