I have not used it in a while but I went to my friends house and got inspired to find my plug-in somewhere and buy a new pack of refills. I bought a pack of 5 for $10- which sounded like a good deal.
I put it in Friday afternoon on the LOWEST setting. Came home motzai shabbos to a heavenly scent. Checked this morning and it’s EMPTY! Now I’m getting a headache because the smell is overpowering.

Help!

What did I do wrong?

Omg the second I saw this thread title I had a flashback to my awful experience- which was the exact same as yours. Bought refill packs and they were overpowering to the point that I was getting awful headaches. The cabinet I stored the refills in made everything smell and taste like AirWick for months after.

Idk if it was a defective holder and defective bottles but it was horrible.

So your saying it’s not normal?

I would imagine not or they wouldn't be in business anymore. I wasn't brave enough to try again, though.

I'm also wondering if a more open space would be less overpowering. Mine was in the bathroom.

Ok what you’re saying makes a lot sense! Thanks!!

I have used it before and it uses up quickly (even on the lowest setting) but not this fast!

I’m going to call the company up.

Thanks Bocca!

Following.. And if anyone knows of a good scent for the reed oil diffusers, please tell me the name and company. My husband hates the one I have now (linen)

Or an alternative to airwick. Thanks

Update: I called the company. They weren’t very helpful as to why this happened. But they are sending me a coupon that I can use to buy any airwick product. I do believe it might be the plug, so I’m going to try and replace it.

Ugh I feel like I’m breathing chemicals.
I don’t understand how people use them.

That's why I stopped... I do miss the nice scent it spread in the house though.
