In Israel (where it all started) chain is under name "Osher Ad" and they are excellent IMO. ding my shopping there for years already.
I can't judge Bingo according to US standards though.

It’s a really a huge supermarket.
But from time to time they get a close out shipment of slightly damaged stuff, or overstocked items and sell them for crazy cheap.

Bingo doesn’t have specials
They are not that cheap
They don’t carry a lot of the individually packed stuff like chips
They hire (at least in Brooklyn) Arabs without training them who have mile-high attitudes and work incredibly slowly
Their stuff is Israeli so some of their products (tuna) are really bad

I sincerely hope they do well.

We Bh got so many new and beautiful food/grocery stores lately that competition is getting quite tough.

Where are they being located?

Can we say that stuff from E"Y is not to our taste, vs. calling their products bad?

Their specials are amazing.

They are not that cheap
Depends where. Produce isnt much cheaper than other stores. Dairy is slightly cheaper. Poultry is well priced....

They don’t carry a lot of the individually packed stuff like chips
Uh, thats the store strategy. Bulk packaging and purchases. Like Costco.

They hire (at least in Brooklyn) Arabs without training them who have mile-high attitudes and work incredibly slowly.
I never had a bad experience with their workers, But then again, I dont recall asking for help.

Their stuff is Israeli so some of their products (tuna) are really bad
They carry American brands just as any other supermarket.

I thought so too, as the statements are all inaccurate.

I was at Bingo until I realized that KRM is much more well priced. If the workers (who are extremely slow at the register, don’t seem to know where stuff is and walk away while u are talking to them) are not Pakistani or something then what nationality are they? They look like Arabs to me.
There is a very small selection of individually packed stuff like chips.
I really have no agenda and was as excited as everyone else about Bingo until I wasn’t anymore. I figured there would be enough people here discussing the pros so I listed some of the cons just to balance it out. I didn’t mention delivery cuz I don’t think that’s a thing in Lakewood.

Look, I live in Lakewood and I spend a lot of money on food and I would like that npgs to have some serious competition, their stuff and attitude stinks and only recently like 3 months ago have they started doing something about it. Well well not anymore. If bingo comes they will have to behave.

I really hope bingo realizes they will have to behave or they will lose out too. People are tired of being taken advantage of when they spend so much money and there's no service and not a soul to talk to.

What is not true? That KRM has better prices? That the workers don’t know what they are talking about? Or that there is a very small selection of individually packed stuff? Because the last time I was there was in the summer. If it has changed since I might give it another try...

I love bingo and I think their prices are GREAT, both compared to other Brooklyn stores and certainly compared to New York neighborhoods outside Brooklyn - for example, kosher checked broccoli is $3.99 - I have seen it as high as $7.99 a box in other places, unchecked dill is $.99 as opposed to $1.99 a
Block of yeast is $1.29 compared to $3.49 for a block an eighth of the size, chicken legs are $1.99 a lb., I forget what the snack bags of Doritos are but they ain’t no $2.49 like I have seen them in other stores!

The produce is excellent. The meat cannot be considered superior but depending upon the cut, it is fine.

Furthermore, pricing has remained consistent since they opened up and were not hiked up for Pesach.

Brown amother I'm so excited.I really hope they have decent cuts of meat as the stores here are hard to get anything decently cut. If yes it's expensive. I wish Kim came to Lakewood.
