A 6 oz package has about 1 3/4 cups ground almonds.
Almond flour and ground almonds are not the same. Almonds for flour are blanched first/have their skins removed and are then ground into a fine powder.
You can sift fine ground almonds to remove the larger pieces and use the rest in place of almond flour.

Thanks ra_mom!
Do you have any Pesach recipes with almond flour?
And do you have a recipe for chocolate chip cookies, with or without almond flour? I have potato starch, matzah meal, and cake meal. I don't have margarine.

I found this from lilmisscakes... who thinks I can use oil instead of margarine?
Ingredients
1 cup margarine
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup matzoh cake meal
¼ cup potato starch
1 pkg. vanilla pudding mix (instant or regular)
1 tsp. baking soda
¾ tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the margarine, brown sugar and sugar.
Add the eggs one at a time and mix until combined.
With the mixer on low speed add in the matzoh cake meal, potato starch, vanilla pudding, baking soda and salt. Mix until combined.
Add in the vanilla and chocolate chips.
Using a 1½ Tbs. size cookie scoop, drop the dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are slightly brown for a soft and chewy cookie. Bake 12-15 minutes for a crispy and crunchy cookie.

I make my chocolate chip cookies with very finely ground almonds, almost like almond flour. When I made then with packaged ground almonds (not ground as fine, more peels included) they were a little too nutty in taste though we did still enjoyed them.

Chocolate chip cookies
1 cup frozen oil
2 eggs
2 cups sugar (or less if you don't like it too sweet)
2 tsp vanilla extract (skip if you don't use that)
2 cups almond flour
2 cups potato starch
2 cups chocolate chips
Mix oil sugar and eggs till smooth. Add the almond flour and potato starch. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
Form into balls and bake on 350 about 20 min or till it gets a light color.
These cookies do not taste pesachdig. They are so good!
