Please help me figure out something to eat. I am sick amother here. I am so limited in my food choices to begin before Pesach. Many foods cause pain. I lost too much weight and need to eat some nutritious food. I have never been a picky eater.

I can't eat dairy.

I am limited with matzah. I can only eat an extremely small amounts because I get constipated.

Cooked meat and potatoes simply don't appeal. I try to eat them, but it is difficult. By not appeal and difficult, I mean the idea of the food is repulsive.

Eggs don't appeal.

Oils and mayonnaise don't appeal.

I have been eating fresh fruit and some fresh vegetables, but I am getting bad stomach aches.

I need to eat to get some strength back after my surgeries.

If you could help me, I would appreciate it.

Do you like bananas? They are filling and provide great nutrients .
How about salmon? Would that appeal to you?
Or chunky vegetable soups with some protein in it, like chicken or a cut up meat. Meat and potatoes may not be appealing but in a soup it may.
How about compote?
Baked sweet potatoes.

Do you like soup?
Some warm nourishing soup can be comforting and healing. Various types of vegetable soup, especially when it's made with real stock.
And pesach chicken soup with egg lokshen is delicious Smile
Do you have someone who can cook for you or somewhere you could order from?

It's also an easy thing to keep in the freezer and heat up as needed.

Do you like smoothies?
They can be packed with nutrients and slowly sipped over the day. (More for after pesach though).
If you're on instagram weelicious had tons of ideas for yummy and healthy smoothies.
There are plenty of milk substitutes to use in them.

Avocado shouldn't cause stomach aches, and is healthy and filling.

Baked sweet potato sounds possible. I sent DH to the store for one.

I need to limit to one banana a day. I am living on mostly fruit.

Salmon doesn't appeal, but I forced myself to eat a little for protein. Normally, I love fish. But about one inch by two was all I able to eat.

Soups aren't working for me right now.

I forgot to mention I have no appetite, and today I am feeling weaker.

I sure hope that baked sweet potato works.

It is sad that soups aren't working. Normally, I love the Pesach lokshen.

I have a wonderful beautiful community that is cooking for me. My family is raving over the food and telling me to get recipes. This is totally on me that I can't eat.

If anything that is kitniyot really appeals, please speak to a competent Rav.

Feel good!

I am not well enough to cook anything right now. DH is getting me a sweet potato at the grocery right now. If you tell me exactly what nuts and vegetables, he can pick up vegetables and roast them later.

Nuts would be good protein.

Baked goods with nut flour? Fruit or veggie pancakes? Fruit or veggie crepes with egg base for the "dough"?

Is there anything that you are in the mood of?
Even ice cream? French fries?
This must be so frustrating for you.

I've been in situations where I was weak and unwell, I knew I had to eat to help me get some strength, but could barely tolerate even the thought of food.
It passes and I sincerely hope that this will quickly pass for you too.

Baked goods aren't working for me. The crepes sound delicious but beyond DH.

Doctor says my appetite will start coming back in about a month. It is not uncommon for people with my illness to lose weight, but this is getting extreme.

Even chocolate doesn't tempt.

Roasted butternut squash. prick squash with a fork. Put the whole squash into the oven and let it bake like that for at least an hour. Slice squash open and sprinkle with salt.

Avocado and Pesach crackers. The avocado has a lot of iron and could be good for you.
You are feeling less appetite because you are weaker. You need to get energy into your system to restore your appetite a bit.

DH just bought Pesach crackers when he got the sweet potato and avocado. I will try this later.

TY everyone for your ideas. If you have anymore, please post. I feel like I am trying to feed a stuffed animal.

Would store bought blintzes work? Or other pre-made food? Perhaps whoever is cooking for your family would be able to make crepes for you? If something sounds delicious to you, it would be great for your health to find a way to get it so you can get well.
