My computer (desktop) was always password protected.
Recently this computer does not require a password to logon.
I think its because windows 10 was downloaded.
I tried everything to activate the password.
Anyone know what I should do to have my computer password protected?

I also couldn't find it- I googled for help. You go to Settings, then type Sign-in options. Then there's a Password section where you can add a password.

Thanks- I already have a password but it’s not requiring me to use it.
I think it asks for the password if the computer is shut down but it doesn’t ask for it when the computer is asleep/ screen saver..
Does anyone know how to set the lock screen options for windows 10?

Have you tried going to Settings->Accounts->Sign in Options? There's a drop down menu with things like "Never" and "When PC wakes up from sleep"

Is this your personal computer or work? You might need to be on the highest administrator account to change the settings the way challahchallah described.

Agreed. What do you see under the drop-down menu?
Also, try going to Settings->System->Power & sleep. Make sure your computer is really going to sleep not just turning the display off.

I don't know if it's still the case, but it used to be that screen saver was different than sleep which is different than lock screen. Have you checked the settings for each?
A different thought, is the monitor (display) turning off/going into sleep mode but the computer itself is still on? (I have that, where my laptop display will turn off after a period of inactivity, but if I've left certain web pages or apps running in the foreground then Windows still thinks the session is active and won't go into sleep mode. For days.)
