I am going to be renting a car in Israel for the first time. Will be traveling north lag baomer week and touring that area.
The following week want to do south yam Hamelech...... Yerushalyim...... Do I need tour guide or can do it on own. Want scenic places.
I did Masada and ein gedi long ago. Don't think its interesting to do again.
Thanks for any help.

I don't think you "need" a tour guide. Pick some specific destinations and you can find tourist info on line. There are also national parks with info available onsite.
- The Ramon Crater
- Nahal David
- Sdom
- Timna Park
- Eilat
- Arava Research Center
- Nabatean archeology
- Ein Avdat
- Sde Boker
