Homeowner coverage only applies if they work less than 40 hours a week.

My policy has 2 types of compensation. One type is for workers without steady hours like gardener or plumber who happens to get injured. Other type is for steady employees in your home.

Double check your insurance policy. I was told all homeowner insurance policies that have workman comp can include domestic help but only those working less than 40 hours. Anyone who has someone working 40+ hours must have separate policy
