Op here. We moved and are sending to tashbar Bh. Too soon to tell but it seems like a great school! A close family member sends to
Orchos Chaim and thought we would have been a good fit there too. They are very happy too bh

How much is tuition?
Was it hard to get in? (We are solidly frum, no tv/filtered internet/I fully cover my hair and legs.)
Who are the main people who run it- I wonder if I know anyone?

We’re very happy in Tashbar - were just plain frum. We have very limited screen time and what is occasionally allowed is really innocent clean little kid content, some sports, nothing unsupervised. To the amother who was worried about primary kids being taken care of, I don’t remember specifics. But my son is a little more anxious and I was so nervous and he did amazing. We’ve had terrific rebbeim, English not always awesome and we hear gets worse as we get older (4th grade here). Apparently by Lakewood standards it’s good though.

As they’ve grown, they’ve hired more principals and subdivided things to be well managed. It’s well run and a nice mixed mostly working crowd. Not that many “jappy” parents, a few. Good luck!!

I don't think we'll be sending there. We want to pay full tuition but $8,400 is not doable for us at this time.

Do these schools give tuition breaks?
What's the average amount a middle class struggling family would pay?

We don’t live in Lakewood and applied to tashbar for the coming year . We heard they called our sons school for information . Does that mean we might get accepted ?

Tuition is about $8500. The crowd is generally a white shirt working crowd. No major rules. We are happy there.

Well my husband wears colored shirts with no intention of changing . And there’s no way we can afford that price . Do they give breaks ?

$1000 off is the most but there’s building fees and camp too.

So I imagine it caters to a wealthier crowd because that’s quite expensive .

My son is there as well. My husband only wears colored shirts and jeans sometimes. He's happy there. Tuition is very expensive... And they really don't work with you much on a break. They go down to like 7k and there's still building fees that need to be paid. This year they were telling pple if they can't afford the 7k they can find another school because they can't accept less.. 🤷‍♀️. Orchos chaim is the same price. They both went up in tuition last year.
