I was offered a job in a day camp in boro park. I would be the main counselor/kindergarten teacher.
6 hours daily. 20 kids in the bunk. Would have a 7th grade assistant.
I want to know how much money I can ask for.
What's the going rate for a counselor?
I don't have experience being a teacher but I do have 10+ years experience with my own kids!

Search other threads, there was something like this recently. IIRC the consensus was around 2k plus free/reduced cost for sending your kids to same camp.

Wow, $10,000 a month for part time work? Sounds like I want that job all year  That's $90 an hour. Maybe that was a typo?

Last year I got about 3,200 for a kindergarten bunk. 19 kids, 2 teenage assistants. (I didnt send my kids there so I dont know if they would have given cheaper/free day camp for them)
This year I have a job with pre-1a in another camp also two teenage assistants. the pay is around 3,000 plus free camp for 2 kids (would have been close to 4,000 without free camp)
Both camps are 7-71/2 hrs a day and are big professionally run day camps.

when I was 20 years old and worked in a large day camp in Flatbush, I got paid around 1000 dollars for one month. Does that make sense? I wasn't married though.
