What bank do you use? Are you happy with it? Pros and cons?

we currently use Chase. We like it because it has a lot of branches and people use it both in the tri-state and out so it makes it easier. Like if my mother has a check for use she can go to the her local chase and deposit it for us without much hassle.

Another satisfied Chase user here. Their numerous locations are quite convenient.

Thank you. Is that the only reason? The charges? Anyone else?

I like Chase too. Never had any problems with my account ever since I've opened it about five years ago. I'm sure other banks have this. But I like the fact that I could take a photo of a check with my phone and can deposit it that way without having to go to the bank.

I've never been charged anything. As long as you have at least $500 deposited every month into the account it's totally free checking. (As far as I remember) . That works for me since my payroll is a direct deposit into my account and I get paid every two weeks so I know there were always be that deposit.

other banks also let you deposit checks under a certain amount over your phone. The fact that the money usually transfers quickly is a big deal. One thing I would look in to is if you want to have a maaser account, how much you need to maintain it without fees.. I believe when we switched banks to chase it seemed that we would be charged for that account since we couldn't commit to a certain minimum. We now have our "maaser" account in a different bank.

Basically figure out what you need, how much money you plan to keep in the account... and see if there will be fees. At one point I had a higher end account with chase and then I dipped below the minimum without keeping on top of it and ended up getting charged fees. Once we realized we changed what type of account I had.

I also use chase. Happy with them.
I also like that they have chase quickpay. I pay my friends and relatives all the time through that. When you chip in for a gift together.... So much easier then trying to collect the cash from everyone
