We are looking for a house for around a year in inwood. The houses there are nothing to write home about to begin with but based on jobs and hashkafa it is really our only option. I am getting outbid, or it’s a tiny house on a tiny lot which means no real room for expansion and even those are going for a lot of money. I am currently living in a two bedroom apartment and I must must get out. I’d rent a house but it’s cheaper to pay mortgage than rent and there arent too many rentals. I feel so helpless and stuck....

The market sucks.
We want to move to another neighborhood but our money is all tied up in our current house so it's hard to bid on something. Other pple are freer to bid without selling as well.
