Funny that you should use those examples, I have friends who have both of those! One friend's daughter is Penina and she called herself Nini, and it stuck, and another friend has a Yakira who is Kiki. I think they're both cute.

I've heard Avigaylee for Avigayil but personally I think that is too much of a mouthful.
