I am looking for a substitute for heavy cream - it can be dairy.
Can I use plain Greek yogurt instead?

It probably depends on what are you making? (Where do you live that cream is not available? Funny because I can't get cy greek yogurt easily but cream is sold all year round)

How fat is heavy cream? In Israel the fattest sweet cream I have seen is 38% fat.

“Substitute Butter and Milk for Heavy Cream. If you're cooking, need a cup of heavy cream, and don't have any on hand you substitute ¾ cup milk and ¼ melted butter thoroughly mixed. It won't whip but otherwise will work well in any recipe that calls for heavy cream.”
