How crazy is it to go for a week ? I know it's very hot. Is there enough indoor attractions for a 3 and 5 year old? We would have a free house and car so it technically saves a lot from a local vacation. We will use points for tickets. Also there's a shared pool.

It's not just hot, it's extremely humid as well. The sun is brutal, sunburns can be dangerous.
Not that much to do in Boca, but it's not too far from Miami

We did a vacation like that with or kids one summer. There are lots of museums that are free one day or week a month, or not too expensive, there are local libraries, some with story time, there are malls, we are so happy we did it. While extremely hot, it was still fun and a great experience. Given that we flew on miles and had a free place to stay with a pool, was totally worth it.
Also, you can take the kids to the beach in the morning or late afternoon when it cools down a bit, same with petting zoos and splash parks.

Good to hear from someone who did it! So you'd say it's not so crazy to do it with a 2 toddlers? How old were your kids?

Ft laud isnt a far drive and they have a huge childrens museum. In Boca there is a small Childrens Museaum. I think thats what it is called. Coconut Cove is a water park but there are also free parks like Patch Reef and Sugar Sand that have splash parks. Sugar Sand also has a merry go round and indoor science museum. Boomer is an indoor arcade, laser tag place but may be too mature for your kids. There are also numerous indoor bounce house places nearby.

Sugar sand park is fun. Monkey joe’s is an indoor bounce house perfect for 3 and 5 year olds. Boca is hot and humid, just dress in very light clothing and bring water wherever you go!

Just gonna.m chime in that my family went once in the summer and never again... and we’re israeli so used to heat... it was sweltering and then raining gah. This was Miami but I assume boca is the same.
Do u generally do well in the heat?

We are also considering a trip to Miami/Boca this summer, kind of "when we can" visit. Hope it won't be TOO bad.

DH was invited to give some speeches in Miami in July all expenses paid (and then some), and after looking into it, he still said no. He was told that unless you're going to spend all day in a private pool or eating indoors at Miami's myriad restaurants, you'll be miserable.

Seriously? Plenty of people live here and survive to tell the tale. It's hot and humid, but there are also days that NYC is hotter and more humid.
