The daughter of our very wealthy friends is getting married. Anyone have any ideas for what to buy for the young couple? I can't imagine what I can possibly buy that they don't have or can't get easily. Willing to spend up to $250. Thank you!

Just because the parent have money doesnt mean the kids do. No reason to assume that they are being supported. Do they have a gift registry?

They are definitely being fully supported and much more. No gift registry - too wealthy for that!

Perhaps a donation in their honor. If their SO wealthy that they don't even need a gift registry, a gift might be a waste of money...

wealthy people do gift registries. This couple didn't.

I would make a donation in their honor somewhere that will provide a nice certificate.

Maybe a gift certificate for a fun luxury activity they would enjoy - helicopter tour, flight lesson, jet ski, drive sports car around race track?

Even if they're rich, they still need things for their shabbos table!

Something that even a rich person would not have had growing up but that represents their couplehood. How about matching kosos for the seder table-one engraved/etched with kol sasson vkosh simcha, the other with kol chatan vkol kallah. Going anon for this because we got these for a wedding present and we save them to use at the seder. We were not too rich for registries (hah!). When else does a woman need a full-shiur kos? So she probably doesn't have her own, and this one will be part of a matching set with her husband. She can bring it along with her to her parents' or in laws' sedorim.

Our set is ceramic, but for $250 you can probably get 2 sterling kosos engraved.

Honestly, I know a young rich couple getting married soon and they told me that they have everything they need and don’t want gifts. They said they plan to donate all their gifts somewhere... they did say if it’s cash, they’ll keep it!
But I guess if it’s personalized they can’t donate it...
