I just chopped most of my hair off for the first time since my wedding. It's pretty thick and it was getting too bulky to keep in a french braid under my shaitel. Besides, the summer is coming up and it was just too much.
Anyway, what style do you keep under your covering of choice? I'm looking for something as short as possible, but that which will allow me to braid the sides so as to keep my shaitel clips in place. Do you use pins/clips/ponies?
FYI: I'm not concerned with a particular style as no one, not even DH (something kabbalistic) will be seeing my hair. Of course, I don't want to be revolted looking at myself in the mirror

I make a pony and use a flat type of clip to hold the pony up

I make a pony and just tuck it sideways under the bottom of the shaitel. I don't use clips. Only a band and my shaitel stays on perfectly.
