My son who is 5 and a half is a strong kid. Loves riding his 2 wheeler, he is good at doing "wheelbarrow", enjoys sports etc. In the past 2 weeks He has fallen off a swing (swinging high) 3 times. Scarey falls. He claims the seat is very slippery. I keep asking if he is holding on; he's really strong, I'm confused how he totally goes flying. Does he have to work on his balance? I'm scared to let him go on swings, but he's ready to go back on 3 minutes later.

Do you find that he has difficulty in any other area? Did he used to be able to swing this high without issues? Or is it a new thing that he is unable to do it?
Being strong does not mean the child is coordinated and each of the activities you mentioned might use different strengths, muscle groups etc. It could be that he is just going very high but if you notice issues in other areas it might be good to get an eval from a physical therapist. If he used to be able to do it but now cannot, maybe go to his pediatrician...

Is it all on the same swingset? Because I have actually seen some very slippery swings...
But yes, my first thoughts were more in line of what LittleDucky said. I'd be more concerned if this is something he used to be able to do. And how is he swinging so high - is this with someone pushing him or is he able to pump himself so high? Because if he's able to pump until the swing gets high doesn't that mean he has some decent balance and ability to operate a swing effectively?
