I went to a bar mitzvah party in the tri-state area a few years back with a Jewish hypnotist who does a "clean" act. I looked on Google for you but I don't remember his name. I'm not sure if this is him or not, but his site suggests that his act is appropriate:

And just my opinion, hypnotist acts tend to be rather boring. Go with the illusionists. The good ones are fascinating.
