My mother makes an amazing challah dough in her bread machine. Can I use the same recipe if I'm making it by hand or are bread machine recipes specifically meant for a bread machine?

It should work outside of the bread machine as well

I use the same recipe whether I am making it by hand or with the bread machine.

I also use the same recipe in my bread machine and in my mixer. All I change is the order in which I add the ingredients.
In the bread machine the liquids go in first and vice versa in the mixer.
