(Well, not strictly Chinuch but I couldn't be anon under Computers: )
Anyone have info on a good program for an older child to learn Hebrew typing? I found one by Tes for 89.95, which we may do if we can't find a/t else, but I can't imagine there isn't s/t for a bit less.
(I did find a book on Amazon for $5 but with lousy reviews....)
I thought I could really just teach him the way I learned to type English:
starts with asdfg ;lkjh
followed by a sentence using those letters
followed by
aqaz swsx etc
But I'm being told a structured set of lessons would probably work better and keep said child occupied (as he has too much free time for the next few weeks).
So, any suggestions?

I honestly found the best way is just to find an interesting text (either a story, or Pirkei Avos, or something from davening) and practice. Works best if he has a basic background in English typing and you will need either the stickers for your keyboard or a guide sheet for him until he gets the hang of it.
