We will be home in Brooklyn for second half of the summer and would like to eat out once a week. Dairy or meat. Not too pricey. Suggestions please?

Bouef & Bun is great. Look at their menu online to check if it is in your budget.
Basil (milchig) is also amazing food..not especially cheap.
A new Asian soup place opened up. I heard it's expensive for what you get.
Izzy's Smokehouse - heavy on the meat. Feels like a man cave. Amazing food.

Basil is on the much pricier end. There's also this new Israeli place that I don't know anything about called Alenbi

I haven't been there myself but have heard good reviews. Pricing is rather high.

In Crown Heights -
Alenbi - delicious, modern Israeli cuisine. Meat. Pricey.
Basil - creative and interesting, a little hit or miss recently. Dairy. Pricey.
Pho Men - Asian food - haven’t been, heard mixed reviews. Meat. Pricey for what you get, or so they say.
Izzy’s - delicious, priced like many meat places.
Boeuf and Bun - not my style, but consistent. Not cheap, not super pricey.
Mama Kitchen - they close early, more of a lunch place, check their hours. Very casual but nice ambiance, fresh delicious authentic Israeli food. Meat. Affordable pricing.
Dean Street Cafe - also a lunch place, not a ton on offer, a bit expensive for what you get, but good cafe food.
Wouldn’t recommend any other places in the Crown Heights area, personally 😬
I know these are mostly expensive. The cheaper places tend to be more take out style and not so great.

That's right. Check their summer evening hours before you travel out.
