A couple of years ago we found "Brooklyn Mango Babka" in Trader Joe's (yummy, pareve babka cake with pieces of mango in it), but haven't seen it since.
I have a great Babka dough recipe, but haven't been able to duplicate the filling. Does anyone have a recipe that I can use to make a thick enough mango paste that won't run out? All my experiments haven't worked.
Thanks!

We love that babka! You can find it in TJs when their "flavor of the month" is mango.
Sorry I can't help you with a recipe.

Ok I can’t help you but just wanted to let you know that I read your post when I was sitting in the parking lot outside Trader Joe’s, having just been there looking for the regular babka but they were all out, and eating the dried mango I’d bought as a snack.
I have no idea what this all means but OP I feel very connected to you right now.

Are TJ baked goods still acceptable? Some products that used to be (U) are now under different hashgachot that are “not recommended”. Not out-and-out tref, presumably, but questionable for one reason or another.

They have foods from all different companies besides their own. The babka is from Brooklyn Bakery and is OU Pareve.

TJ doesn't make anything themselves. It's all private labeled.

Have you tried the mango jam made by oxygen (I think that's what it's called)
