If it's in only one area, maybe put it in the freezer till you can scrape it off? I've done that with sticky stuff too and it works

Not sure if this will work but there is a method where you take a paper towel and put it over the wax then iron on top of it. The wax will melt from the heat and stick to the paper towel

We are having the same issue now courtesy of a havdala mishap. Can't stick my husband's kapota in the freezer and a little nervous to iron it.
If anyone has more advice for OP, I'd gladly take it too

tnx for replies. decided I had nothing to lose as was quite bad. I put bakewell and ironed over it . the wax all came off.

Op, so glad it worked it for you.
Don't mean to hijack this thread but does anyone know if the ironing method would also work to remove silly putty from a skirt? Thanks so much
