my son's therapist's wife had a baby.
I received an email that they had a baby (he didnt specify if boy/girl)
please let me know what the etiquette is for a present.

no gifts. Card is nice but technically not necessary.

Many therapists cannot legally accept gifts from paitents.
Was the email just an announcement or does he have to reschedule... I think the kindest thing right now off to be generous with your time if the therapist needs to change his schedule.

No gifts. It can be a conflict of interest and he may not legally be allowed to accept them. If you want to do anything just send a card. My therapist told me aty first appointment that he refuses to acknowledge patients outside of sessions and not to say hi or anything if I see him on the street or in the store. I can’t see him being accepting of a gift from a patient.
