Today, there are a couple of new threads that I answered several times already. The getaway threads are usually the same.

Certainly, bump them for updates, but posters won't keep typing the same things over and over again. You will miss the answers to your questions if you don't look at old threads.

At the same time, unless you are the OP of an old thread, please don't post and bump it up again! It's very confusing for everyone.

I think it is ok to bump up info threads for updates. It is better for the new poster as well. How many times is someone going to write the same exact thing?

Someone posted on a 3 year old thread recently, just to insult one of the poster’s answer to the OP on page 3 of a thread.

That was me. I did not mean the post to be read in an insulting tone. It was to clarify what the original OP was venting about. I apologized for accidentally bumping up the thread. I must have been browsing and forgot it wasn't a recent thread.
