It sounds like you’re holding out for the perfect apartment in the perfect location for the perfect price. But you have a month full of chagim to find all that. I’m not familiar with your specific area, but you should probably look for a short term rental in the location you want and then from there you can try to find something better.

Stop stereotyping. (It's a little racist too). And you sound spoiled. Plus people in the USA do all the above. People everywhere do what they have to in order to get by. We moved in with family at one point due to a disability that didn't allow us to live in our own apartment. Yes there were two bathrooms but it wasn't some mansion. We did what we had to.
Go outside your comfort zone, move neighborhoods, or be willing to pay more. A lot of people switch shuls they like after being there dozens of years if circumstances change. Nothing is guaranteed in life and you have to be flexible.
