I wanna make compote but a little bit more upscale and tastier then just plain apples. Anybody tried apples and peaches? Any other ideas?
No jellos or junk stuff please.
Ideas appreciated!

When the compote has cooled off I add diced frozen strawberries.

Thanks! I dont love pears but I am thinking I'll try it. Perhaps the flavors blend nicely.
