How on earth do you wash nude stockings? I always had my cleaning lady do it, so I never bothered learning how. But I just tried myself last week, and 1) they smelled weird 2) the color washed out in patches so it looks like my legs have vitiligo. I let them soak in the sink for a few hours with detergent, washed them out, and hung to dry. What am I doing wrong?

I throw them with everything else. You can handwash

I put them in a lingerie bag and wash in machine on permanent press. Hang to dry and you're done.

In the machine in a net. Washes perfectly. Preferably with darks.

I wash them in a mesh bag, and usually hang dry.
