A lot of these names mentioned above do not have any biblical sources. They are just a good as giving Yidish names. Like Chemda, yakira, yedida.

Some people don't have the issue you're pointing out, but are just part of communities where Yiddish names are not acceptable.

And some people just don’t want Yiddish names, not because they want biblical names.

Naomi doesn’t mean sweet or precious.
