We use a sukkah a couple of blocks away and as every year, I need to come up with menu ideas that are Yom Tovdik, easy to transport and eat. We use all plastic dishes and cutlery, so nothing that needs a real knife, etc. Nothing easy to spill, so no sauces. Also, to make things more complicated, we don't eat sugar or wheat. An example of the kind of thing that works -- I always serve London broil salad with wild rice salad for one meal, with fresh fruit to start and plum torte to finish. Any other ideas?

My father doesn't have his own sukkah and eats in his shuls sukkah many blocks away. I recall that he used to put soup in a thermos which kept it warm:hot and it did not leak. He just poured it out into plastic bowls at mealtime.
You can really transport anything as long as you have well sealed containers.
Sweet potatoe Kugel
Vegetable Kugel
Grilled chicken cutlets or bottoms
Pickled chicken roast , serve room temperature or chilled like deli
Corned beef
Blanched String beans sautéed with garlic
Mashed potatoes
Rice pilaf
Salad vegetables and put the dressing in a separate smaller sealed container. Put the container into the larger container that has the salad vegetables . When you are ready to eat. Just pour the dressing into the salad. Then just close the larger container and shake it up until the salad is well dressed.

There is something called "Elegant Meat Pie" which is similar to Shepherd's pie but it uses puff pastry sheets for the crust (bottom and top) instead of potato. It's extremely simple, yet very popular with guests and very tasty. Sautee an onion, brown a pound or two of ground meat (don't know an exact amount, use your judgment), pour off the fat, add a jar of pasta sauce and heat. Lay the pastry sheets on a 9x13 pan and pour in the ground meat mixture, then lay sheets on top. Brush with beaten egg if desired and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake the amount of time suggested on the box of pastry dough. You cut it with a serving spatula as best you can and lift it out. It will not be perfectly square but it's delicious. One pot, one pan to carry.

OP said no wheat. I believe puff pastry has wheat flour in it.
