Right after havdala: vegetable soup, lots of water, mac and cheese, creamed spinach.
While nursing: large Powerade
While preparing kids' lunch and snacks for tomorrow: slice of watermelon
While packing up leftovers from pre-fast seuda to freeze: 2 bowls of couscous and chicken tagine plus more water
I think I'm done until breakfast.

A cup of (caffeinated!) coffee with a roll and cottage cheese. That is my standard break-fast meal.
The other family members had French toast that I had prepared from leftover Rosh Hashana challah and frozen earlier in the week, and/or omelettes and challah rolls.
Later on I had a handful or two of pretzels washed down by Pepsi Max .
Right before bedtime - which was indeed quite late due to the combination of afternoon nap (between Mussaf and Mincha) + coffee + Pepsi Max- my stomach was growling so I had a couple of small almond cookies that I had baked for the mafseket.

I had my usual strong cup of tea with a small piece of cake. Then I felt awful.
I ate about 10 crackers to get rid of the nausea.
We usually eat a meat meal but we didn't feel good so we ate a sandwich made of chaala filled with cold leftover schnitzel and pickles.
I then drank lots of fruit juice.

I drank water, vitamin water and grape juice. Ate watermelon and honey cake and a bagel with scrambled eggs.

I cant believe how many of you had cold ice coffee after the fast. Anything with cold milk, or too much milk in general, is not friendly to most tummies after a fast.
We always have sweet hot tea, biscuits and some cake. A bit later we had veggie soup. I drank two cups of coffee later on (with just a bit of milk). Also had a roll with peanut butter.

We all take what we want, so everyone has something different. I had tuna melt on rye, leftover broccoli kugel, some carrots and dip, and half an apple.

I was proud of myself that I did not over eat. I had tea and a wrap with eggs and a vegetable soup. More tea and powerade. Apple slices. Then I had a yobar, which is a greek yogurt ice cream bar for 100 calories. B"H feeling good and I'm glad it's over.

A coffee with a small rugela.
A bowl of chicken soup x3.
Plenty of water and seltzer.
Now it's breakfast time and I'm good and ready for something to eat!

I wrote last night that I totally overate.
I drank coffee too and had a hard time falling asleep.
At 4am I was up - total insomnia...
Finally I went downstairs and made myself a sweet tea with honey and ate a chocolate brownie 🤢
Fell asleep again at 6am but was up by 7....
It’s gonna be a loooing, hard day...

I actually didn’t need coffee. I bought a caffeine suppository for all the fasters in my house, and I was headache free all day. DDs and I had borekas and ambrosia (yes I know that’s a strange combination). DH has a protein bar and tea.
I actually technically broke my fast on grape juice. I don’t fast well, so DH has me make my own havadala.

Half a cup orange juice
Water
Whole wheat baguettes
Tuna
Egg salad
Cucumber and tomatoe slices
Powerade
It was perfect. Not too full or heavy. I usually serve cake and sugary stuff. It's the first time I didn't and our stomaches feel so much better.
