Every year, we go to in laws for Simchas Torah so husband can enjoy the hakafos in his hometown
While the hakafos are beautiful, they're also long and exhausting and the whole schedule is topsy turvy and while my in laws are wonderful, their house is tiny and very uncomfortable accommodations with no privacy.
We sometimes were able to get other places to sleep but not sure if will work out this year.
My husband and kids are looking forward and I just want to stay home and curl up on my couch..
Anyone with me?

I totally hear you but it’s really a mans yomtov. If you could get decent accommodations go for it.

When we went to inlaws for succos, I also didn’t enjoy simchas Torah there. So I’d join the family there for a 2-3 hakafos, bring the baby/little kids, then go back to inlaws house and relax on the couch with a book while everyone else was still in shul. Brought baby/toddler back to house with me to play since shul was overwhelming for them. Can you do that?
