queens zoo is tiny. bronx zoo is huge. no way to do entire thing the whole day.

Turtleneck Zoo is very nice. Not sure how much the 15 year old would enjoy it though.

I think claws n paws in Pennsylvania is about 1 1/2 hours from Brooklyn.
So is space farm, great zoo with antiques meuseums.

Bronx Zoo is great.
Claws n Paws is not worth the drive from Bk IMO.

It's a small zoo, nothing special (not that cheap either) and not worth such a long drive. Maybe if you are in the area anyway but I wouldn't drive in just for that.

Turtle Back zoo! Our favorite! It’s really nice and clean and has lots of cute attractions more than just looking at the animals.
