I've been to Switzerland in the past, and used the kosher list I found online at this link

Hi, when I went to Italy I couldn't find anything kosher and didn't know what was kosher or not because nothing has heschers on it like in America. We went to a chabad house and asked them for bread in the end because we were desperate. I guess you could say we were ill planned. So pack tuna, dry goods, etc. as much food as you can. We were also staying in a place were there were no jews and only non-Jews so that probably contributed to there being no kosher food available. Also kosher food is expensive there. The chabad rav said people that live in Italy order food from Rome and Milan.

The kosher list that is available in some European countries specify which foods are kosher (without a hechsher).
I just can't seem to find an Italian list.
a list from 2013 is not good enough.

In Rome Yotvata is a very nice CY restaurant. In Venice there's Ghimel Garden.

There are also a few kosher markets in central Rome (with C"Y dairy products), a couple of kosher bakeries, and a nice selection of restaurants, both for upscale dining and quick bites, plus a gelateria. Many are on Via del Porto d'Ottavia in the ghetto, but a few are further afield.

Venice has a kosher bakery (with some non-bakery items for sale), ice cream parlor, and a small handful of restaurants.

There are also places in Milan and some resources in Florence.

Google "kosher italy" for more resources.

I agree with Ruchel here. As a kosher traveler, you need to plan ahead.

In Rome, Yotvata and BaGhetto Milky are both CY and excellent. In Venice, there's a milchig Chabad place that I think is called GamGam Goodies with pizza and other baked goods.

I don't remember what milk they had but cy milk must be available since there is a delicious cy gelataria. in France all CY milk is UHT so it may be the same in Italy.

I was told not to eat the meat in the Rome restaurants, its Italian minhag which is different. The milk restaurants were amazing however. Gamgam in Venice is under chabad hashgacha.

Unfortunately in Italy it's not easy to find kosher restaurant or market.... You'll find only in Rome, Firenze or Milan. You can check on jewisheurope.com

It's so easy in these cities and you omitted Venice.
It's very easy to stock up in the cities even if you are traveling to other places.
There are also lots of foods which you can buy in regular stores anywhere in the country.
