But less frequent problems.

Little kids have little problems 100x a day.

Big kids, everything is fine for four months and then they crash the car.

I find it depends on the parent.

Some people have the patience for little kids and their challenges. Some for tweens, and some for teens. And some for adult kids.

A lucky few either have APKs (autopilot kids, who don't need much intervention to grow up), or have the patience for every age and stage.

An unfortunate few have children they find especially challenging, at one age, or all the time.

Would anyone like me to raise their toddler, while they take care of my teenager?

I miss the younger years. Every time I see someone with young children I can't help but feel a tiny bit jealous.

It really is a toss up. I was going to write that it gets harder as they get older. Sometimes older children/young adults have problems and you just cannot do anything for them but listen. Or you really can and want to help them but they don't want your help. Then I remembered how I felt in the supermarket yesterday when a baby was crying so hard and the mom could not calm her down. I was like, there is no way I can do that again. (My youngest is 15.)
