Do they sell ground up poppy seeds in Brooklyn, preferably where they grind it up for you on the spot?

Are you looking for something like a Hamantash filling? If so I think Baker's Choice sells it.

Right poppy seeds come in supermarkets either in a spice bottle to use as challah topping or as a paste in a can from Bakers choice company. Big supermarkets should have them

For making poppyseed cake. I haven't seen it in supermarkets. I prefer freshly ground poppy seeds for me to make my own filling, but if there aren't any, I would buy filling. Which supermarkets in Flatbush or anywhere in Brooklyn carry it?

So no one grinds it on the spot for you? I've looked in Flatbush but I couldn't find it. Who carries it?

I saw it in Breadberry. I'm sure others carry it too.

you can use a spice grinder or coffee grinder to grind them yourself.

Are any coffee/spice grinders good? Once I buy it, do I just take the poppy seeds and put them in and grind, do I need to soak in water first or do anything else to it?
