I don't want constant wifi in my house right now but I do need some internet connection other than the tiny amount I have on my phone.
Does anyone know of another alternative?
I've heard of wifi USB sticks but I don't know the real term for them or how they work/the cost.
Any information on this would be very helpful.
I'm in Monsey if that makes a difference...
Thanks!

Search for portable hotspots. I think that's what you're thinking of.

Wifi is the least expensive least complicated way to have reliable internet services.
If you are worried about people accessing your Wifi, give it a strong password and change it often.
And of course you can have a simple wired connection from your computer to the modem but most modems come with built in Wifi capability at this point.

I have an iPad that uses cellular data. It suits my limited needs just fine.
