I currently have my savings in an account with one percent APY. I know there are higher rates available, can anyone tell me what rates they are getting, and at which banks? Online is fine, but I’m afraid to get stuck with a scam so looking for referrals.

American Express savings is always the best rates. This is bec they don’t have actual banks but it’s better done online so they save money by hiring less and not paying rent...

Now it’s about 1.9%

Thanks to both of you. I’ve seen rates higher than two percent, but in banks I’ve never heard of. Anyone getting those rates and can’t tell me which bank?

I've never used Ally, but I consistently see them listed at or near the top of highest rates paid. Wherever you go, confirm that it's FDIC insured, and also check the fine print - some limit the number of monthly transactions you can make, etc.

I use Marcus by Goldman Sachs. It's 1.9% now. Can't believe I previously had Citibank for .01%.
