Please, please can someone help me?
I've been wearing Orly's Nails for Males for over ten years. It's a little less glossy than regular clear polish but not quite matter. (I wouldn't really mind wearing regular clear but because I'm a rebbetzin DH feels I need to be a little more cautious, because people can say "well, Rebbetzin Amother wears nail polish" and then they'll go wear something very flashy because of me. Okay, that's another subject altogether, feel free to create a spin-off if you have something to say about that)
So, bottom line, it seems to be discontinued. Amazon has it for like $60 and orly's website doesn't have it at all. I am simply devastated.
I tried Orly's matte. It doesn't stop me from biting my nails, which is the main reason I just can't go without. I don't need "no-bite" stuff, I just need pretty nails. Then when I am really antsy, I peel the polish and put on new.
Is there any similar product? I searched on male nail polish, most of 'em have obscene names and anyhow they're black or purple. I don't care if it's a nail repair product or ridge filler etc just it needs to be clear & not very glossy.
Thank you if anyone has ideas.

This is exactly the one I wanted! But it's $10 a bottle with $7 shipping. Well, I guess I said I'm desperate, so that isn't so bad.
Does anyone know if polish gets bad (thick etc) if you don't open it? Because it not I'll buy five of them. Or ten.
ETA: at least six for free shipping!
I don't know. Can you thin it? Because I have a few old bottles half full that I stopped using when they got thick & took forever (or never) to dry.

Also $15-20 per bottle. But yeah, desperate... anyone know if they're very matte or just semi?

Both Sally Hansen and Essie make matte top coats. You said that a different matte doesn't work for you, so I don't know if these would be better.
I found that a single layer of basecoat is not shiny. I used Essie, but I don't recall the exact product name. It looked cloudy in the bottle.

I think I remember it being kind of in between glossy and matte. It was a long time ago for me too.

If you open a bottle and then let it sit, it dries out. But if you keep it sealed it should last. If you love it, stock up when you have the chance. I've done that with makeup and never regretted it.

You can thin nail polish. I've no idea how, but I know its possible. Try googling. Worst that can happen is you'll have to throw it out. Which you would need to do anyway.
Would using something like Nail Envy work for you? Its a nail strengthener that leaves a sort of a semi-gloss finish. You're supposed to put nail polish over it, but I sometimes use it when I'm in a hurry, and don't want all my nails to break.

Thanks again, advocate. You really are a good advocate!
I just ordered six bottles. They may be the last six in existence. Maybe I'll pick up some Sally Hansen just to see...
ETA: they emailed me they don't have six bottles, do I want one? I said, fine, can you give me a break on the shipping? Oh, whoops, actually we don't have any. Oh well, it was a nice try. They offered me Essie's man-I-cure. Waiting to hear back if they can tell me how similiar it is (and it's $15!)

New ideas:
1. add a few grains of corn starch to polish (in a bottle cap...) but might be hard to get the right matte effect.
2. I always use a buffer between coats and realized it takes off quite a bit of the shine so maybe I'll just manage with regular clear.
Well, thanks to all who tried to help, and please add your voice if you come across anything else (under $10!)

You should be able to thin nail polish by just adding a tiny bit of acetone.
