I think my two year old would benefit from OT or sensory gym type of thing, but am not having him evaluated right now. I am looking for ideas of things I can do with him at home, we've been doing jumping on trampoline, hand walking with feet in air, etc.
He's the type of kid who is very active, hardly sits still and climbs over anyone and anything to get where he wants. He'll run or jump... and fall, and get so excited from the thrill of it that he'll keep doing it again and falling on purpose.
As an aside, if anyone has some words of wisdom, I'm also having a hard time setting limits with him. He won't sit at the table unless he's buckled in. He ignores anything I say no to... for example- food only in the kitchen- it's hard to keep chasing him down every minute of the day (he opens fridge and pantry and knapsacks) and I hate letting him roam around with food, besides for the mess, because he needs to learn to follow rules.

Following. My son is approved for OT, but we didn’t find a therapist for him yet. He is so sensory that it’s affecting his eating! It’s driving me crazy!

My son sounds similar to yours and has changed a tremendous amount since starting therapy 8 months ago. He will be 3 in January.. I am an OT but I highly recommend getting him evaluated especially if he is delayed in speech or fine motor skills
We want active children but they are more difficult. He is doing amazing in playgroup.
