A medical report issued by the New York medical examiner's office a year after his death showed that Atkins had a history of heart attack, congestive heart failure and hypertension.[10][12] His widow refused to allow an autopsy.[12]

Famous diet expert "Dr Atkins" who advised all on health and disease prevention, had heart issues and hypertension?

How do you explain that?

His way is still a step up from French fries and soda. Usually it's the sick who learn and lead the way in a quest for health. Maybe he did. Maybe he didnt.

Everything in moderation. Too much meat, cheese, eggs aren't healthy. A plant based diet is much healthier but of course combination of both healthy foods is best to get all vitamins you need.

Theres a lot to follow so Im not sure what youre referring to, but there was a book mentioned on his Wikipedia page, that was written about him, that many say is trashy-tabloid, which doesnt look like much of a success.

Kindly be more clear about what youre referring to that answers questions about why Dr Atkins had heart and medical issues, etc. despite being of the best in the diet field, in his days.
